You know when you have something running the back of your mind and it kind of bothers you but not enough for you to do anything about it? That was my experience with these picture frames.
All of these paintings/prints hung in my grandparents’ house and when my grandpa passed away, they were given to me.
Then they sat in a stack in our master bedroom for MONTHS. Every time I looked at our empty dining room wall, I’d think of the frames. Every time I looked at the stack of frames in our room, I thought about how I should hang them up.
Every day for months, I had this commentary running in the back of my mind about my lack of decor and inability to hang things on the wall.
Then, one day while the boys played happily, I hung up the picture frames. And it was done.
Not only was that background noise gone but it brought me so much joy to see the same pictures I grew up seeing in my grandparents’ home, now in my home.
Life lesson? Hang the picture frames.
Do the thing that may only take a few minutes but is running. in. the. background. and kind of plagues you every day.
You may be surprised at how much joy it brings you to get it done.
As you go about your day, if you feel that tug about that thing you have been avoiding, do it and come back here and post to celebrate it! I’d love to hear about your big and little wins today.
