Years ago, I heard a wise man give a talk about how to live the Christian life. He said, don't rage against the process.
I think of his talk all of the time, especially now as a mom. He may as well have said, don't rage against the process of motherhood.
Don’t rage against whatever you’ve been called to in this moment.
Don’t rage against the life you wake up to each and every day.
Don’t rage against your children (or your spouse for that matter).
Don’t rage against the schedules and routine you create for yourself.
Don’t rage against the meal plan.
Don’t rage against the fact that as a mama, you have signed up to make meals, do laundry, go grocery shopping, clean, and love, love, love every day.
Don’t fight it. Don’t be surprised that this is your reality.
Today, I am reminding myself not to rage against the process. When it comes down to it as mamas, I think we really love this life and all we have been given. Let's embrace it. Lean into it and don’t count the cost.
Don't count the cost.
Take it one step at a time. Tackle the task at hand. Let's strive for progress over perfection today.
