It's really that simple.
I didn't start things for YEARS because I knew I would be interrupted. Guess what? I never got anything done. And when I did get something done, I couldn't celebrate it because I was so frazzled that I hadn't gotten it done sooner.
Start now, even if you may be interrupted.
Don't debate it.
Don't try to talk yourself out of it.
What is the thing that you should be doing right now?
Go do it (even if it means closing this blog post).
Want to make progress in an area where you feel stuck? Starting is the best first step.
Tackle the task at hand.
It doesn't have to be perfect or pretty.
I have found that if I start something, it is more likely I will finish it (how was this not obvious to me?) and then I have momentum to start something else.
Sure, you may have to stop, but at least you've started it instead of trying to talk yourself out of it.
Start now. 100% of things that get done, were started first.
