I am usually late to the party - this happens to me all of the time. I grew out my bangs three years after everyone else in middle school. I discovered the joy of avocado toast by the time it was old news. And I bet I finally get around to painting our oak-stained cabinets right as everyone is regretting their decision to do it years ago.
Maybe the same will be true with starting this blog. I've been thinking about starting one for years and am definitely late to the party, yet again.
On this blog, we are going to be about focusing on progress over perfection.
That thing you've been meaning to start/fix/finish that you keep putting off? We're going to tackle it here, even if everyone else figured it out years ago. It doesn't matter how perfectly you wish you could do it; what matters is that you make progress in the right direction.
Progress is going to happen when you take small steps one at a time. I am finding that taking these small steps toward progress bring me much closer to perfection than wallowing about how I should have done it or how someone else has done it.
Does anyone still read blogs? I do and I hope you do, too.
I am excited to share the practical steps I have found to be helpful when taking small steps toward progress, the hindrances I have encountered along the way and the freedom I have gained by focusing on progress over perfection.
Nothing I share will be perfect and it won’t necessarily be pretty but these are the steps that continue to be helpful for me. I hope you find encouragement here to focus on progress over perfection in your own life.
Thank you for joining me! I am so glad you are here.
